ClixSense vs NeoBux vs WordLinx vs GetBuxToday

The age old question - since the dawn of  PTC - is who truly rules the PTC waves? Now there's been some very worthy contenders over the years.

First up is Bux.To immediately comes to mind....it was without doubt the leader of the pack by a huge margin. Goodness knows what happened there.....perhaps greed got hold of those in charge; i wouldn't know and won't speculate, suffice to say that three years later they still owe me almost $200 in click commissions and also owe countless others i know - indeed, forums abound with tales of woe and warning of it being a scam, which it has now become.....TRAGIC.

Another sad story is that of Adbux, who at one time even had lawsuits against Bux.To (or was it the other way around - i can't quite recall, so long ago it was. This one too went down the drain. I've given up on the bucks i'm owed!

Now be careful these two still operate....Don't go there!

Uronlinebux was not that big (as a PTC) and started out as a website that reviewed moneymaking programs in general, rating them and also creating blacklists of sites to stay away from. I'm still making money from sites they recommended back then. When they branched out to create their own PTC site, things got out of hand.....they promptly closed down the site....and again i lost out on some bucks. The site has made a comeback giving all sorts of smart advice on how to make money-online. Only those who don't know their history of course will trust their utterings. They should've stuck to what they know...now their reputation is in pieces!

There were many others from i got paid, but they are not worth a mention, they've come and gone - at least by this time i had learnt to read the signs and managed to cash out before they close down.

That's just a bit of history....and may it not be repeated soon!!

To get back to the here and now. I've got 3 'oldhands' and 1 newcomer - how do they play out? My ranking is as follows: Clixsense ; Neobux; Wordlinx and Getbuxtoday - in that order - 1st to 4th. Why?

Clixsense have plenty ads right through the day; the new layout does wonders and is easy to navigate. 4 different payment options are available; payouts go at least 8 levels deep. Recently micro ads have been added. Not really my cup o' tea, but still it's there if you need the extra bit.

Neobux, has been very innovative, but i feel they've lost the plot a bit with the recent pay scheme changes, which favours the advertisers more, also, some of my referrals who have not upgraded have complained that not enough value ads are available (i used to get at least 4-5 as a free member), they focus more on the so-called 'micro ad' which pays a puny 0.001c. Meaning you have to click 10 ads to get 1 cent.....come - Neobux you can do better....i know! At least it's just 3 seconds each to click, so it basically works out the same in the end - both with time and money, but still all the EFFORT!  It is a trusted site though and pays instantly.

Wordlinx also has been around for a long time and is well known and trusted throughout the PTC community. It has recently launched Moreshare, a sister site where you can share links, earn credits and get free advertising. For a free member they don't have too many ads, but still it's worth it if you know you'll get paid.

My favourite site at the moment, for which i have high hopes is Getbuxtoday. This new kid-on-the-block has certainly got the PTC world agog. a lovely site and layout with some interesting new features not seen on other PTC sites, my bet is that it'll soon leapfrog my top three in no time. The only reason i don't have it at the top of my list.....loyalty to the 'establishment' (for now at least)!

So there you have it, my verdict, a bit of  history and some hope for the future in the ever evolving world of PTC! So if you want to earn some money on tried and tested sites, click on any of the links on this site...IT IS GUARENTEED TO PAY....for now at least....LOL!

Why i use (PTR) Paid To Read email sites

Apart from the obvious monetary incentive, the main reason was to use it as a tool/medium to advertise my affiliate programmes. The earnings from PTR sites are generally less than PTC (Paid To Click sites), but there are advantages. For one, you don't have to login to a particular site every time - the link is sent via email and all you have to do is click it. The site opens and when the timer is done, you are credited and close it...end of story! Secondly, 'cos it comes to your email inbox, you're unlikely to forget to click and earn. NB: on some sites you won't be credited with your referrals' clicks if you haven't clicked yourself, which is fair i suppose. You do have the exception to the rule, e.g. a site like  Paid For Emails pay handsomely considering it is 'relatively' new and only has a few advertisers. I do hope though that it will be able to sustain itself in the long term.

There are quite a few advantages to using PTR sites over PTC:

1. you can get lots of exposure using their discounted advertising packages;
2. they have other activities, like manual surf, which you can use to get advertising credits, which is great for newbies wanting exposure, but who do not have the budget!
3. they have a very low minimum payout, ONLY $1;
4. variety of payment processors available - Alertpay, Moneybookers, Paypal etc.
5. you gain exposure to a LARGE AUDIENCE!

I've been registered with a few, such as no-minimum and donkeymails for a number of years and have had a few payouts since, without any hassles and the advertising has definitely paid off or should i say paid out! Recent registrations are with taketheinternetback and inboxdollars from whom i haven't received payment yet, but research haven't uncovered anything negative about them. paidforemails is also a recent addition, and aclose friend has received payment already...looks good!

In summary, PTR's might not pay much, but are great for exposure and cheap advertising!!!

Blog design changes gain momentum!!!

I've added the following pages to my blog: Get Paid To Do, Scam Updates; Affilliates; Surveys and Downloads pages.

The idea is to make it more user friendly. by making the navigation easier. So instead of having to scroll down one long list of posts, A quick click on the appropriate tab will get you where you wanto to be. I've left the 'global' template layout for the side bars the same though...will evaluate as i go along....or if comments and suggestions from site surfers warant it!

All that's left to do now is to populate it!!

New Year.....new blog design coming soon!

Yep, i think it's by time i revive the old war horse! Had an extremely succesfull 'blog year': added some more followers; blog rank jumped through the roof; got a few comments and even a few sign-ups to the affilliate programmes i'm promoting! For some it may not seem a big deal, but for me it's HUGE!

The main purpose for starting this blog in the first place, has always been to inform the unsuspecting public of the huge amount of SCAMS permeating cyberspace; secondly to provide proven, well established and affordable alternatives and thirdly to serve as a relief outlet for my creative juices which threaten to explode every now and then (Big LOL)! Actually it provides a way to constructively use all the free minutes i have at my disposal (smaller LOL) - a kind of hobby i suppose - while at the same time giving me the bonus of supplementing my meagre income (no LOL)!!

So the new blog layout and design will attempt to capture the essence of the reasons for the existence for the blog in the first place!!

My early days being scammed (as a newbie) in the PTC world!

Yep, i'm not ashamed to admit it! i was greedy, naive and lots of other things as well....and that is why i fell victim to a scam!

Back in my early days, when i was still a very fresh newbie to the whole PTC scene, i was in a rush to make a few bucks -Dollars nogal! So lo and behold i was suckered into joining and clicking away like crazy….. u know these kind of opportunities come along sort of always at the right time (for them at least)…..

Here i was a very fresh newbie, ripe for the picking!

How did it happen? Well, i was busy clicking away and being a newbie, was looking out for more sites to register with - you know, more sites more money - when i came across this absolutely awesome site, 'elephant mails', and they were really offering 'ELEPHANTASTIC' payouts. My mind went into overdrive, automatically...i signed...immediately!!!!!!!!

Who in their right mind was going to refuse such exceptional click rewards, with such a low payout? NOT ME CERTAINLY!! Would you refuse the following? :

• Free Memberships
• All Emails Worth $500
• All ptc worth $100 $50
• $2000 signup bonus
• $200 referral bonus
• Redeemption starts only $10000

It took me a few days to reach payout! Shu....$10000 ...here i come!!!

WAS I DISSAPOINTED......!!! :-(

I get too.....i don't even know what to call it....just thinking about it...!!!! I won't bore you with the details of my struggle to obtain payout! That's a story all on it's own.

Well the rest is history. I'm actually glad it happened to me so early, actually right in the beginning of my PTC 'career'.

I've learnt to:

• Research
• check out what others say
• be patient
• stay with the tried and tested

and most of all...to believe in the old maxim: 'if it sound too good to be true....it probably isn't'

After that i told myself never AGAIN!!!

Based on the above, you will see that the most significant increase has been in the number of visitors to the site. My success in this regard I can attribute to making relevant and insightful comments on various blogs, sites and forums, as opposed to what a lot of people do: spamming a forum with their links without really making a contribution to the discussion at hand.

Surprisingly, I would discount the influence of Facebook and Youtube, since I’m hardly active on Facebook and not even registered with Youtube. Twitter I’ve only recently joined as you can see from an earlier blog post, and I’ve not even made a tweet yet!

I’m sure though that these sites and social networking sites in general, have plenty to offer, by way of generating traffic and driving it to your site, the idea is to show that there are plenty other ways of achieving the same!

Page views

The increase in page views is a logical outcome of the increase in site visitors. I’m almost sorry I downloaded the stats today, instead of waiting for another week – I would’ve definitely achieved another target…only 50 views away!

Completing surveys for a living!

I would really like to meet someone who is able to onnly do this (complete surveys) for a living!! This post has been prompted by a number of queries i've received recently from people who would like to earn some sort of income in their spare time and for whom completing surveys would go a long way not only to spend their idle time, but also fill a gap or two in their budget!

It is not quite as easy as that...trust me...i've been around for a while.

First thing to watch out for is the scammers out there...who typically promise the world, but can't even deliver a lollipop...and then still make you pay for a so-called 'survey list'.

The saying that 'you have to spend some to get some' is only true in some cases. I've made it a point NOT TO PAY a single cent for any of the programmes i register with....they WANT my business, in this case THEY want ME to fill in surveys; in exchange, THEY pay ME and in turn get paid by their client...that is just how it works! The trick is to find really trustworthy sites...who will not 'sell' your information to third parties, etc. For this reason it is always important to read the TERMS AND CONDITIONS and other fine print very carefully to fully understand what you agreeing to.

Always do some research on whatever site or programme you intend to register with or sign up for...a simple search will pay lots dividends in the end..and spare many a heartache or even save you from an embarasing hole in the pocket!

My next post will provide a list of trustworthy sites that do not ask any money to complete the surveys and only ask for reliable people giving honest answers.

Another South African PTC site....going DOWN!

Easyclix have announced the closing of the PTC website at end of November 2010.

It's a shame really, but i must give guys over at easyclix some credit.....they really tried their utmost to keep it going! For me, a number of things about the site is significent: firstly, i must commend them on always responding ASAP to any queries i've had....and the were many - it was always resolved to my satisfaction (and i'm not easily pleased)! Secondly, the site layout was good, making it easy for new users to sign up and navigate. Thirdly, i've never had any issues w.r.t payment - come payout, there is no hassles.

The only thing that did bug me was the quality of the referrals and the allocation of refs. This was quickly sorted though after i complained.  I wish all my other sites could be as accomodating.

So where did they go wrong? Not enough reserach before launch? Is our economy a tad small or perhaps not really geared to this type of marketing or advertising form? Was the payment system flawed or advertising rates too high...or maybe too low?

Yep, many questions....and i don't have the answers!

For me it comes to a focus on the source of revenue: if your main income is from advertising, then by all means get the word out.....cheap ads - lots of traffic, pricier ads - targeted traffic, etc. If your signed up members provide the bulk of income.....make it worth their while to stay members and recruit new members; a task i must admit is easier said than done! Make it exciting, have competitions, etc.

Anyway, wish them good luck in their next endevour and hope they'll take valuable lessons from this experience!

How to Deal With Spam…LEGALLY!!

This entry is applicable only to spam from South African websites

Surprise! Surprise! The Act allows for unsolicted emails to be sent as long as it meets certain requirements. Somehow it doesn’t make sense – heh! I mean, why have requirements permiting an action when the idea is to prevent the action from happening in the first place! At least measures have been put in place to deal with it once it happens…this is the subject of this entry…to inform you what you can do, i.e. when your rights (in terms of the Act) have been infringed.

For this purpose i’ve borrowed an entry by John Giles, made on the ISPA website, that explains it beautifully. A sample response  letter and text from the Act is included for your convenience. See below:

Here is the specific text of the Act relevant to spam:

Unsolicited goods, services or communications

45.(1) Any person who sends unsolicited commercial communications to consumers, must provide the consumer

(a) with the option to cancel his or her subscription to the mailing list of that person; and

(b) with the identifying particulars of the source from which that person obtained the consumer’spersonal information, on request of the consumer.

(2) No agreement is concluded where a consumer has failed to respond to an unsolicited communication.

(3) Any person who fails to comply with or contravenes subsection (1) is guilty of an offence and liable, on conviction, to the penalties prescribed in section 89(1).

(4) Any person who sends unsolicited commercial communications to a person who has advised the sender that such communications are unwelcome, is guilty of an offence and liable, on conviction, to the penalties prescribed in section 89(1).

What are RRS Feeds? How can i get and use it?

Most of us 'salted' web surfers would know what it is and what it does, etc. Honestly, i've been using it for ages, but never knew until today that it stood for Really Simple Syndication - simple isn't it! LOL.

RSS acts a filter for your interests, i.o.w you can view online content without having to everytime go back to the various sites. Almost like the scrolling news items you see at the bottom of your tv screen when the news is read! In most cases the site would provide the content for free....since they get extra exposure on your site! So with RSS you get the latest updates from your favourite sites, without having to login.

Do you want RSS feeds on your site? This is how you do it!

You will have to download an RSS Reader. After installation, just copy and paste the URL link from the URL bar of your browser and add it to the Add Feeds section of your favourite RSS Reader.

Remember: Always read the terms and conditions, some sites require you to first get permission, especially if your website is used for commercial purposes!

Neodollar is a scam site!

Neodollar is a site that has exactly the same layout, colors as the much trusted and well liked PTC site Neobux. The most obvious feature pointing to SCAM is them paying $1 per click which is definitely not sustainable. The industry average is 1 - 2c per click and 5c in exceptional cases. Official end of World War 1

It is official: WW1 only ended yesterday!! As part of the Treaty of Versailles, Germany agreed to pay hundreds of  billion of  Dollars to a numebr of countries, as well as indiviudals and companies. This past Sunday, a payment of $93.8 million was expected to be made to France and Belgium, thereby putting an end to the war.

So there you have it! The war - WW1 - did not end on November 11, 1918 as we've been taught in school!

Increasing traffic using social media

I'm still a newbie at this and only recently decided to increase my blog exposure. One of the ways, of late, that is getting a lot of 'webplay' is using social platforms such as Facebook, Youtube, etc. to this. For me it is still a bit complicated - it probably isn't, but then again i haven't tried hard enough or even spent  time (of which i don't have much) figuring it out.

And this is precisely the point....time to figure it out! Most people like myself - the casual internet blogger or part time share trader, are very busy, we don't have time to still figure things out. So i've opted for a more straigtforward and uncomplicated way of trying to increase traffic and also my blog rank, by registering on what is called blog aggregators. In simple terms, it is a site that lists blogs...basically!

It took my fancy because i don't have to learn or do anything different...but blog! You also get an opportunity (on 1 site) to peek at other blogs and get an idea of what makes them successful.

I've joined 2 so far:

•  http://www.socialpress.co.za/ - i like the nice clean layout of the site. It is fairly new and gives you a chance to grow with it. I've already learnt plenty from likeminded people on this site.
• http://www.afrigator.com/ - the site is described as the largest blog aggregator in Africa, has won several awards and has a good Alexa rating.

I'm sure it's gonna well worth investing my time in a few extra comments on these sites.

Scam list - 50 pages

I have a 50 page scam list that is available to anyone interested in registering with programs of the following type: work at home, paid surveys, PTC (Paid to Click), PTR (Paid to Read), PTS (Paid to Surf), earn online, home data entry, etc. For the list, leave a comment with your email address, so i mail it to you! alternatively send an email to vendgalaxy@gmail.com with "free scam list" in the subject line.

The list has been compiled from internet searches and feedback from online forums. It is by no means exhaustive and might even include some legitimate programs. In most cases it has been added due to overwhelmingly negative feedback. Also be aware that although some in the list have paid you, be cautious of further investment in the site if the general opinion is against the site. I have personal experience of having been paid at least twice initially, then on further investment and upgrade, the site folds!

My approach nowadays is to only register with site that have been in the game for at least 2 years. When registering with newer sites, i DO NOT INVEST ANY MONEY AT ALL, untill i've been paid, then i use that same money to upgrade or buy referrals. In this way i don't loose anything!

Yes it takes a bit longer before payout, but ...what's the rush? If your risk appetite is a bit bigger than mine, by all means go in with a vengeance...don't come back crying though.....i'll just say....I TOLD YOU SO!!

When it comes to referring these new sites, I DO NOT REFER UNTIL I'VE BEEN PAID. Of course there is no guarentee that the site won't fold before your payout or your referrals' payout, but at least my conscience is clear.

My first follower actually runs a nice blog called the theafricanmarket. It is a pity i didn't think of the name first. Although the blog deals with similar topics, his focus is more on betting. So go and have a look if you're keen on the adrenalin rush of betting and winning.

I hope everyone likes the new lay-out! I've updated the links and made it more accessible. It has also been categorised into the different types of programs, PTC, PTR, Auctions and Payment processors. The Paid Surveys and Affiliates groupings must still be populated. Feel free to make suggestions that will improve the general layout of the blog.

Congratulations to myself....got my first 'follower' today!!!!!

This indeed calls for a celebration.....but how and what would be appropriate and commensurate with the achievement? I need to think about this one a bit longer.....! It definitely motivates me to increase my efforts...which have been rather halfhearted (since i set goals for The Blog). One of the targets i definitely missed, was to post at least 1 message daily...simple and easy you would think....but i couldn't even manage that! So for the next week i'll do a minimum of 2 posts....to make up...howzat for effort! Now to go over into action mode.....till later then!

Shu...!!! a HUGE challenge awaits me.....on the plus side, I LOVE CHALLENGES.....!

The Gap Years ...(Cont'd)

Something else i forgot to mention in this post - that explains the 'gap' is the fact that i deleted those posts that were of a personal nature, i.e. to do with family, friends, etc. I decided to keep this blog strictly for business purposes...

So there you have it...in case you were wondering!

Yeh...got paid again!

Just received payment from no-minimum.com. Guess, what...today after having been a registered user of the site for two years, i browsed about and found out they have a wealth of other get paid options not just the paid to read  email function.....! Guess i lost out heh. Well no more!!

What happened during the gap years?

A recent subscriber to my newsletter asked me an interesting question: 'what happened during the long gap between 2007/8 and 2010 - why no posts?" Well, there's actually quite a few reasons, but i'll narrow it down to the most important or significant to this blog. Firstly, i got a promotion and focussed entirely on getting stuck into the new job. My cyber activities has always been merely a 'hobby' of sorts, an entertaining, relaxing and financially rewarding distraction.

Then i decided to further studies and enrolled in a business management programme. Which i completed in the first quarter of this year. Did a few years like maths, etc which i thought i'd never have to do again, except for trying to balance the household budget every now and then...LOL!! Some of the sites i was registered actually de-activated my account due to inactivity.

But, ya...i'm back on the 'blog' (pardon the pun) with a BANG!!!

Firstly, I would like to say thank you for your support through 2006 & 2007. It has been a particularly difficult, challenging while at the same time busy and exciting. I had the timing refined to an art. Let me not digress too much from our topic at hand.

The question I have been asking myself ever since: ‘How can I make use of this wonderful technology to improve myself and achieve my dream lifestyle?’ It was not until much later that I came across opportunities on the Internet which has now put me firmly on the road towards achieving my dreams. These same opportunities I now wish to share with you as a token of my appreciation for your support.

It has taken me the better part of a year to research, compile and evaluate the various programs I have registered with and are now promoting. I needed to make sure it was legitimate, before signing up and recommending friends and family to join. During this time I also come across many, many scams and scam sites – all of which I will be sharing with you in due course. Having been a victim of at least on such scam, I can speak from personal experience. More details of this in the next edition.

The golden rule to remember is: ‘If it sounds too good to be true……IT PROBABLY IS!!!’

Words of Caution

So what are these programs or money making opportunities? There are actually quite few different types, but the purpose of this 1st edition of my e-zine (yes that is what this type of marketing letter is called) is to focus only on one particular type, PTC or Paid To Click programs, as it is commonly referred to in the industry. It is just one of the many types of ‘Get Paid’ programs I will be introducing you to over the next months.

Paid to Click programs are so named, because that is precisely what it entails – you get paid to click and view ads on the Internet without having to pay a single cent. Furthermore, you also get paid when you refer friends and family and they click. Some programs pay 100% of your referral clicks, while others pay only 50%. It follows that you earn more when you click and refer more. You decide how much time and effort you want to devote to this endeavour.

At this point I must issue a Word of Caution!! Don’t be blinded by the huge earnings potential of some of these programs - quite frankly it is a bit exaggerated. My experience is that it can take some time before you really see results – then again, I have only been doing this part-time. Do not rush in and register with too many programs at once – it can become overwhelming – rather plan carefully and consider the following:

• How much time am I willing to allocate to this?
• What impact will it have on my family /social life?
• Will it influence my normal day-job or other Internet activity?

My advice is to proceed slowly, register with 2 or 3 programs that appeal to you and get a feel for what it is about. Satisfy yourself that it is legitimate Internet business activity. Evaluate the impact the few programs have on your time, budget, family and social life before registering on more programs. Build your referral list gradually. Focus on improving and accelerating the returns on a few programs first. Once you have done this, GO BIG TIME!! Involve your friends and family, colleagues.

Follow the rules
An important point to remember: ‘read the rules and stick to it’. You do not want any disappointments when it comes to pay-out time. For example, some programs allow more than one member per household – as long as each one uses his/her own PC, whereas other programs strictly allow only1 member per household.

Remember: ‘This is not a get rich quick or Ponzi Scheme’. Instead be prepared to invest your time and resources to get going and earn reasonable returns, especially if this is going to be a part-time activity.

How do I proceed?

Simply click on the links and start earning….NO; it is not quite as simple as that! Do the following step-by-step:

1. Click on or copy and paste the links provided into your browser address bar
2. Register with the different programs one-by-one
3. You will be sent a confirmation e-mail
4. Click on the link to activate your account
5. Familiarise yourself with the rules of that particular program
6. Start earning by browsing the ads provided
7. Create an account with an Internet payment processor

Simple isn’t it?



How much will I get paid?

Here is an example of how much you can earn from one program

» You click 10 ads per day = $0.10
» 20 referrals click 10 ads per day = $2.00
» Your daily earnings = $2.10
» Your weekly earnings = $14.70
» Your monthly earnings = $63.00

The above example is based only on 20 referrals and 10 daily clicks. And yes, you get paid IN DOLLARS. Amazing isn’t it! Getting paid for an activity which we normally perform for free – browsing the Internet and clicking on a few ads.
Imagine the possibilities!! Add a few more programs and do the maths!!

How do I get paid?

You will need to create an account with a recognized and reputable online Internet payment processor like Paypal, Alertpay and Moneybookers

Paypal.com is by far the most recognized payment processor on the internet today. Probably due to its close association with eBay, the world’s premier auction site eBay fact owns a significant share in Paypal

Alertpay is a fairly new kid on the block, but has made quick inroads into a market dominated by www.paypal.com. It has established as a reliable and efficient payment processor and has achieved much success in the Paid to Click industry, where it is a major player.

Moneybookers is excellent for auctions and very to use.

Some programs only use one of the above providers while others provide both options. My advice is to register with both, than you will not be limited in program choice.

One step, two steps, three stepss…

Getting on with it....

Let’s leave the story - about the beginning of the departure to a new destination - for later. If this opening sounds a bit confusing to you, then you should read my first entry on this blog titled: “And of we go…” This blog entry will focus on what steps I have taken so far. In other words; how far have I traveled since I departed, uhhmm… maybe I should rephrase that - What course of action (pardon the pun) … have I taken since I started out on this exciting path; towards a destination that has yet to be revealed? NB: More detail on the destination will follow in subsequent blog-entries.
Let’s leave the soppy philosophical stuff, which is starting to bore me and get to the point here.

For starters we go to the 'pre-steps' I’ve taken. I can just imagine you all saying/thinking oh no here we go again, but trust me I have to do this – just stay with me on this one and ‘hear me out’!

Firstly, the realization that I am wasting not only my time and money, but also that of others and furthermore, that although I have dreams (lots of lately!) I have done nothing to realize - there’s that word again – them and make them come to fruition as some would say. Secondly, I needed to internalize this ‘realization’ and get to grips with it. I have heard and read of people going bonkers for failing to understand this ‘new reality’ they needed to embrace.

So embrace it I did; to the fullest extent possible and with total disregard for the possible consequences. I sold my house, which wasn’t bond free anyway and made a tidy profit. This profit was meant to reduce all of our debt in whatever form it may be. The rest of it was allocated to long term investment; making short term dreams come true and ‘start-up capital’. Yep, everything’s always good and fine ‘on paper’, but implementing your plan and getting it to work are two very different ballgames. A quick update: the long term investment has still to pay; the short term goals have come and gone; the startup capital - there is not much left – lots of it have been used to plug some unexpected gaps(more on this later, much later…)

The important thing about these first few steps, is that it made my resolve so much stronger, brought my wife and I even closer than we were and showed my children valuable lessons on how to and not to ‘discover the wild’ so to speak!

The aforesaid seems so doom and gloom – or is it just my imagination – so let me close this chapter on a more positive note. The start-up capital didn’t all go to waste. I procured (now there’s a nice word) a state of the art PC and a laptop with high speed communication links, a decent 4-in-1 printer, corner unit workstation, lots of office stationary and consumables, in fact everything I thought I would need to get me going and sustain me as I embarked.

My first blog entry.....i mean what else is there to say? As explained in the 'about me' page - this is for me a new start/beginning (beginning sounds so much nicer don't you think!). Shu..and what a journey it has been so far.

Perhaps i shouldn't say a new journey, but really a departure from established routines, ideas, anything old - in the past, and so on, i think you know and understand what i mean!
Being the first blog, i suppose i need to fill you in on a few details. i am sure you would like to know where i am coming from before you i tell you where i am going - i still need to find that out for myself, but at least i've got a pretty good idea - and invite you along!

With so much to say, i think i'll split it up into more manageable chunks, howzat for starters.
And where do i begin to tell the story (reminds you of a song heh! Barbara Streisand if my memory serves me correctly)......

Well i'll start at the beginning - not before the beginning as Timone and Pumba would have it! Ha ha! Just thinking about those two makes me laugh.....

I was born on 27 February 1967 - yes i am proud of having reached the roaring 40's as they say - in a little town called ...i bet Bethlehem came first to your mind, it being that time of the year....Humansdorp, in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. It is situated about 80 km from the bigger Nelson Mandela Metropole, which has the city of Port Elizabeth as it primary hub. Port Elizabeth is also called 'The Friendly City' as well as 'The Windy City'. I grew up and spent at least half of my 40 years there.
