Poll: PTC vs PTR vs TE vs Auction vs Survey vs Affiliate
I've added a new poll to find out how internet surfers make (or prefer to make) their bucks on the internet. The choices are between: PTC (Paid to Click); PTR (Paid to Read); Surveys; Auctions; Affiliates and/or TE's (Traffic Exchanges).
If you're interested in any of these, browse the pages below. There are plenty of posts/comments and information. If for any reason you're not able to find any links to your area of interest, drop a comment...and i'll help you find it!!
Also, if there are programs which you think should be part of the poll...do the same..i'll be sure to include it in the next round!

PTC vs TE's: Surprising trend!
I've noticed a surprising trend away from PTC's towards TE's i.e. Traffic Exchanges for the newbies. However when looking more closely, perhaps it is not so surprising at all...actually!
PTC's was originally seen as an easy, free and user friendly means to make money and was a boon to advertisers and marketers alike; offering cheap advertising and a receptive audience eager to get 'paid to click'. The industry experienced unprecedented growth, but with that also came the negatives........get-rich-quick schemes and scammers, which i imagine was further fuelled by an over-optimistic click crowd, who included many cheaters amongst them. The reputation of PTC suffered tremendously in the process! What happens in times of turmoil? Put differently.....the loss of one is the gain of another.....enter TE's.
A traffic exchange very simply put is precisely what its name suggest, i advertise my site for free, in return, i click, providing 'traffic' or a 'visit' to some other advertiser! It's a win-win situation - depending on your ability to market effectively and exploit the system - it can give some an unfair advantage. The advantage of TE's over PTC's is that nowadays, you can get both credits and cash for surfing, hence the one-up over PTC's,, plus the added bonus of payment for and from referrals.....and this without having to pay a cent ....IF YOU GO ABOUT IT PROPERLY.....and with a bit of patience.
I've been fortunate in not having paid a cent of investment for 80% of the programmes i promoted, when i did invest, in an upgrade or buying of refs, it is AFTER, i've reached minimum payout level and as such minimised the risk, by basically using their own money to invest! Apart from the cases such as Bux.to that turned out to be such a disappointment and still owe me a few hundred dollars, my experiences have been largely positive.
Drop me a post on whether you agree or not!

Clickfredtraffic: A brand spanking new Traffic Exchange
I was informed of a brand new site today, that has all the makings to be great. I trust my source who also has his own site! The NEW site involves surfing for credits, while at the same time getting paid cash to do so...HOWZAT??
The sign-up link is http://clickfredtraffic.com/?rid=36 as you can see i'm only member no 36...i've got nothing to lose and everything to gain! There's no sign-up fee, so IT IS FREE!!
Now some would argue and say...GEEZ MAN..don't this guy learn from hi mistakes, i mean his very previous post concerned him getting burned by a TE and here he goes barely a day later. Yah, i know that's the OTHER REASON i'm here to take the chances everybody else is afraid of...and also give you the feedback so YOU can can have greater peace of mind when you do decide to join any programme being promoted on this site.
I'm breaking another CARDINAL RULE here: promoting a site that has not yet proven itself....WHY? I've never really had the chance to 'get in early'...! Here i have an opportunity to build right from the word go and promote, BEFORE...YES BEFORE, anyone (or few others) does it! YOU, the valued followers and casual surfers and visitors of this site also have that chance...AND YOU'VE GOT NOTHING TO LOSE!!!
I on the other hand have much to lose if you think about it - i've got my reputation and credibility to lose if this turns out to be a bummer and for me that's MAJOR!
Finally....Once you've taken the plunge and you've signed up let me know..so i can check if i've been credited!
GO FOR IT!!!!!!

Why i use (PTR) Paid To Read email sites
Apart from the obvious monetary incentive, the main reason was to use it as a tool/medium to advertise my affiliate programmes. The earnings from PTR sites are generally less than PTC (Paid To Click sites), but there are advantages. For one, you don't have to login to a particular site every time - the link is sent via email and all you have to do is click it. The site opens and when the timer is done, you are credited and close it...end of story! Secondly, 'cos it comes to your email inbox, you're unlikely to forget to click and earn. NB: on some sites you won't be credited with your referrals' clicks if you haven't clicked yourself, which is fair i suppose. You do have the exception to the rule, e.g. a site like Paid For Emails pay handsomely considering it is 'relatively' new and only has a few advertisers. I do hope though that it will be able to sustain itself in the long term.
There are quite a few advantages to using PTR sites over PTC:
In summary, PTR's might not pay much, but are great for exposure and cheap advertising!!!
There are quite a few advantages to using PTR sites over PTC:
- you can get lots of exposure using their discounted advertising packages;
- they have other activities, like manual surf, which you can use to get advertising credits, which is great for newbies wanting exposure, but who do not have the budget!
- they have a very low minimum payout, ONLY $1;
- variety of payment processors available - Alertpay, Moneybookers, Paypal etc.
- you gain exposure to a LARGE AUDIENCE!
In summary, PTR's might not pay much, but are great for exposure and cheap advertising!!!

Scam list - 50 pages
I have a 50 page scam list that is available to anyone interested in registering with programs of the following type: work at home, paid surveys, PTC (Paid to Click), PTR (Paid to Read), PTS (Paid to Surf), earn online, home data entry, etc. For the list, leave a comment with your email address, so i mail it to you! alternatively send an email to vendgalaxy@gmail.com with "free scam list" in the subject line.
The list has been compiled from internet searches and feedback from online forums. It is by no means exhaustive and might even include some legitimate programs. In most cases it has been added due to overwhelmingly negative feedback. Also be aware that although some in the list have paid you, be cautious of further investment in the site if the general opinion is against the site. I have personal experience of having been paid at least twice initially, then on further investment and upgrade, the site folds!
My approach nowadays is to only register with site that have been in the game for at least 2 years. When registering with newer sites, i DO NOT INVEST ANY MONEY AT ALL, untill i've been paid, then i use that same money to upgrade or buy referrals. In this way i don't loose anything!
Yes it takes a bit longer before payout, but ...what's the rush? If your risk appetite is a bit bigger than mine, by all means go in with a vengeance...don't come back crying though.....i'll just say....I TOLD YOU SO!!
When it comes to referring these new sites, I DO NOT REFER UNTIL I'VE BEEN PAID. Of course there is no guarentee that the site won't fold before your payout or your referrals' payout, but at least my conscience is clear.
